This project aims at fully publishing the important and unique Early Iron Age remains of Tel Kinrot (ancient Kinneret) excavated by 'Kinneret Regional Project' in the years 2003-2008. Tel Kinrot is currently emerging as a key site for a new understanding of the formation processes prior to establishment of regional powers in the Southern Levant. The site's rich material culture is oscillating between former Late Bronze Age traditions and new cultural influences. Therefore, the full publication of Tel Kinrot's Early Iron Age material record will enrich (and change) previous socio-economic and historical concepts of the cultural landscapes in Cis- and Transjordan at the dawn of the first millennium BCE.
